A bespoke PhD and postdoctoral program that goes beyond conventional research training — embedding industry experience, commercial literacy and global mobility.
SAGE-M offers a genuinely distinctive PhD and postdoctoral experience. Every student is co-supervised by both an academic Chief Investigator and an industry or science partner, with a structured placement at a partner organisation built into the program. On top of your research, you'll take part in a formal training program covering advanced catalysis, regulatory affairs, commercialisation and entrepreneurship — skills that make our graduates immediately valuable to industry. Stipends are paid at ARC rates, and the Centre's cohort model means you'll benefit from regular seminars, an annual retreat, and a national network of peers and mentors across four universities.
